We understand that jewelry is a personal investment and the scale and feel of a piece is important in decision-making. We offer relaxed in-person appointments at our Westport, CT studio as well as additional photos, videos, or virtual appointments as needed.

Green Gold is a signature element of Faye Kim Designs. While most common yellow and white gold jewelry is alloyed or mixed with other metals like zinc, copper, or nickel, Faye Kim fine jewelry is alloyed with silver. While not a true “green,” this is known in the trade as “green gold” and offers a flattering hue for a wide range of skin tones, as well as a luxurious, solid heft. 

Custom work is some of our favorite. Each project is unique but usually follows a typical sequence, whether it’s virtual or in-person:

FIRST… You reach out for an appointment to discuss your initial idea or needs.  Bring stones, inspiration, and questions. If you’ve seen a one-of-a-kind piece that has sold, we can work together to create something similar.

THEN… Faye will render an example of the design you agree upon, and put together an estimate for your piece. Sometimes this includes drawings, 3D models… it all just depends on the scope of the project.  

FINALLY… Once the design and estimate are improved, a 50% deposit is required. The work then goes into production typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on the scope of the project.

Absolutely! Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed. This process is very similar to the custom process listed above, except old metals or unused stones can be credited back towards the total cost of the project.

Yes! We do repairs on all jewelry, whether it was purchased here or elsewhere. We offer repairs and restoration services by our highly skilled team of jewelers.

For most items, cleaning with warm, soapy water and a soft toothbrush is best. Be sure to rinse well and dry with a soft cloth. Our pieces are designed to be lived in and loved, but like all precious things, they should be treated with care. We recommend removing your jewelry before tending to your garden, swimming, lifting weights, and all other activities that might be too rough on your piece. For jewelry with pearls and gemstones, avoid coming in contact with harsh chemicals and intense heat.
